Imani Development is currently working with the delegation to the European Union to South Africa on the EU-SA Business Links project. The overall objective of the project is to better promote European interests in South Africa with facilitated market access and an increased competitiveness for European companies in the country and the region. To meet this objective, the following key results areas are being focused on:
- Improving communication, advocacy and lobbying of European companies’ needs to government
- Enhancing access to information for European enterprises on business requirements in South Africa
- Improving coordination between EU bilateral Chambers of Commerce, business associations and EU embassies
Imani provided technical services to EU business support structures in SA and in the EU, including the local Chambers of Commerce and Business associations of the EU Member States and the Trade and Investment Promotion offices of local embassies. In addition, Imani also developed a targeted and tailored promotion strategy, provided trade policy research and advocacy, performed media activities, created an online platform for EU Chambers of Commerce and business associations, and created a one-stop website to assist current and potential EU businesses operating and wanting to invest and trade with South Africa.
