Liana is an Associate Consultant on the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) team in Malawi. Since 2016, she has worked in Malawi’s NGO sector, leading project design, fieldwork operations, and managing teams. Her recent work has been focused on violence against women and girls (VAWG) prevention, safeguarding, and social norms change. She has supported research, monitoring, and learning activities related to VAWG and other gender and equity issues, working closely with communities and partner organizations to generate evidence that informs responsive and ethical programming. In addition, Liana has experience in design and implementation of community-based health interventions, including work related to water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH), which has contributed to her broader understanding of social and environmental determinants of health in Malawi. This combined experience has given her a strong foundation in applying evidence-based, gender-responsive approach to improve health, safety, and wellbeing of vulnerable populations.
