Ashley Fischhoff
Description
Ashley Fischhoff is an Analyst based in our Cape Town office. She recently completed her Master of Philosophy in Land and Agrarian Studies from the Institute for Poverty, Land, and Agrarian Studies (PLAAS) at the University of the Western Cape. Her dissertation investigated the consequences of women’s unpaid labour on collective organisation and resistance, in two urban land occupations in Stellenbosch, South Africa. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Social Science Honours degree in Justice and Transformation and a Bachelor of Social Science degree majoring in International Relations and Economics, from the University of Cape Town. Her interests lie in the political economy of Africa, regional integration, and international relations, with a strong focus on gender empowerment, agriculture, and socioeconomic development.
