Imani Development and Particip GmbH carried out the combined evaluation which was commissioned in 2013. The evaluation was set in a wider global development context which is giving greater emphasis to agricultural growth and food security than has been the case over recent decades. The focus of the assignment was to evaluate the portals together and individually according to the Development Co-operation Directorate Development Assistance Committee (DDC-DAC) criteria of Relevance, Effectiveness, Efficiency, Impact and Sustainability.
Specific tasks performed included:
- Analysing the relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, impact and sustainability of the Agritrade portal, K4D portal and the Brussels Development Briefings.
- Assessing the performance of the portals and weblogs in effectively reaching CTA’s target audiences.
- Assessing the degree to which the services provided by Agritrade, K4D and the Brussels Briefings were contributing to the achievement of CTA’s 2011-2015 strategy.
